The War at Home

There are many problems that confront the world and its inhabitants nowadays. Some of the serious problems are famine, diseases, religious controversies, poverty, natural disasters, hatred, violence, and selfishness. These are all real problems many people in the United States have to go through, but the problems that will be focused on and discussed in this article are violence, hatred, and selfishness. Selfishness is a disease that has been increasingly spreading through and afflicting the US and other countries, where less and less people think about others and only concentrate on their own best interests. Emotions toward the USA government have changed dramatically in recent years due to many varying factors. Such elements include the differing political standpoints of issues (conservative vs. liberal) and governmental dealings of national and international disputes (equal rights activists and decisiveness in going to war). Many, myself including, dislike extremists (people who go to extreme measures, often violence, to express their views on matters such as religion, race, and politics) on both sides of the war situation, or any situation for that matter. It is simply outrageous how some people can become so one sided as to make false, and sometimes stupid, accusations to try to make people understand that they are entirely correct and anyone who opposes them is completely wrong, staying dogmatic the entire time despite the facts against them. I for one support the liberation of countries, such as Iraq, to save the citizens of the country from the atrocities that tyrants, such as Saddam Hussein, force them to endure (such as torture and often slaughter of innocent people whenever he feels like doing so). Was there something that needed to be done to stop senseless murders and future terrorist attacks? Of course, a solution to those problems was essential. Did we need to wage an all-out-war? Maybe not, though the al-Qaeda network does extend the Taliban throughout numerous countries of the Middle East. Most civilians do not know enough, concrete, information to judge whether going to war with Iraq was absolutely necessary or not. Nevertheless, many people over the world, including myself, did not see a definite reason to go to war with another Middle Eastern country when it does not pose a direct or tangible threat, just a liable menace. Even if the reason is wrong, or the goal is unclear, the American people need to support troops that are engaged fighting enemies in different parts of the world because in their minds they fight for a noble cause, to keep their country and the ones living in it safe from others who threaten to harm them. Unfortunately, there are some who hate the troops specifically just because they are directly involved with the war. No matter what the reason may be for their loathing of American soldiers, their contempt is still considered a hate crime toward the men and women of the United States military force along with their foreign allies, which displays unacceptable and despicable behavior toward themselves.

It was greatly beneficial to the Iraqi citizens that the United States overthrew Hussains rule and the al-Qaeda network had weakened. Other positive progresses included the Iraqi governments growth and Al-Zarqawis recent death boosting citizens morales about the probable outcome of war. However, the CIAs faulty intelligence about Weapons of Mass Destruction and on average a solider dying every day in Iraq due to insurgents has lowered the credibility of the governments decision making and the Presidents leadership capabilities. Even so, people who submit ridiculous accusations against the government by calling them terrorists and staging 9/11 without solid proof are irrational and preposterous. Those types of people are often known as conspirators. There is no logical way that so many people in high ranking offices would allow something so unspeakable as the murder of thousands of innocent civilians to take place without at least telling the public of the atrocity; or be ignorant to the fact that the government was behind the attacks. The general population is too concerned with their own self interests to know, or care, about the actual facts and problems of the war; along with inaccurate information on domestic issues, such as the energy crisis, misleading them as well. Likewise, the media sways the public opinion partly through often exaggerations of the truth to gain renown and wealth due to increased ratings from its stories that tell what the public yearns to hear; this type of media dishonesty is also known as yellow journalism. Conspirators use the media, sometimes, to influence the public to jump on a bandwagon of misled, stretched, or completely false articulations to gather support, on thinking either what they believe is acceptable or trying to move toward anarchy within the country. Am I saying the government and our President are without faults? Of course not, but citizens of any democratic country need to have faith in the actions the government makes to help progress the nation. However, if the actions taken seem immoral or foolish then the citizens of the nation should be allowed to express their views, but to a sensible level as to not become unreasonable or obscene to others. Nevertheless, people do not need to go against every policy made by the government because in some way or another it may seem flawed; those flaws may be needed to compensate for the rest of the policy to be implemented into law. Those living in a sophisticated associated Democratic society, even with the freedom to express their opinions, should be more grateful and satisfied that they do not live under Communist, Socialist, or even Libertarian rule.

People ought to remain independent and not tied down to every decision the government makes. Yet they should refrain from becoming governmental heretics; for the nation is run by the people, and rallying support against the government would, in retrospect, be rebelling against themselves. Even though the officials run the country, it was based on the decisions of the people, who also created the government and prevented it from becoming Communism. Moreover without order from a government, a polarized Anarchy forms and then chaos follows until another government is established (for needed proof, just look up how many anarchy regions there are in the world). The U.S. government does have corruption in it, but so does every other government and everyone. So do not think, hypocritically, that any human can go without blame simply because that one person did not do the same things that government officials may have done. Criminals living in the U.S. that are responsible for insane and illegal actions such as the Oklahoma bombing, the collapse of Enron, the Zodiac killer, and attacks against the freedom riders have plagued this country for many years. More American people had committed greater crimes than virtually any action that the main branches of the federal government had executed, including the Watergate and Iran-Contra scandals. The real problem in America is the amount of depraved people it houses; which, fortunately, only a few of those who are exceptionally atrocious make it to any area of federal power. Many incoherent people (whether they are from political statuses or not) who disclaim the rising economy, through the Bush Administration, do so to try to discredit the opposing political party as a whole or are truly oblivious to the obvious facts of the economic prosperity. As this nation progresses in its attempt for greater "liberty and justice for all," more citizens can get away with molestation, vandalism, animal cruelty, theft, and other heinous crimes with fewer severe consequences. Lawyers are largely to blame for the amount of things that people can get away with nowadays, with finding technicalities in the cases or manipulating their wording to make it seem as if it were understandable why the defendant committed the act. Some of the lawyers that cause people to get away with crimes should be considered criminals themselves. For the severity of crimes like murder, rape, terrorism, etc. in which lawyers convince the courts to pardon their clients on is unacceptable and inhumane to the victims and the sanity of the nation.

Certainly, the ideas and lies that quite a few rebel rousers endorse (some being that the planes which had crashed into the World Trade Centers and the Pentagon were actually missiles) have ruined the believability of their statements when put against common sense. For example, when hundreds of people have attested to planes crashing into buildings, they cannot all be so unintelligent as to mistake a missile for an aircraft. On another note, if people living in a country hate it so much and want to turn against it, as well as showing anti-patriotism openly, why do they not just leave the "terrorist government" and live their lives in another country where they can be selfish to their hearts content without the government saying No to any of their desires for pro-choice no matter how morally wrong it may be? It is because they take advantage of this countrys freedom for all policy and want more of what they already have here; even at the sake of others moral standings. If all those people, including pro-violence demonstrators and perverts, left the U.S. to move to their choice country, just think how much of an improvement it will be for the rest of us and how more civilized the country may become (apart from the massive economic drop that would ensue if all of those people really did leave). Is the state of the world in an unstoppable immoral mess of technological supremacy (microchip implants, abortion clinics, pornographic websites)? No, at least not yet; but it is getting to that point soon and there is nothing that is going to stop, or can stop, the inevitable future of the planet. Although I am a pro-America supporter, I am concerned for some of the jingoistic supporters of the country who are deluded to the fact that democracy and politicians do have flaws and the country is no where near being a utopia. Even going to the point of slander and violence to those who think otherwise; similar to Napoleon Bonaparte. Yet most people are lazy and ignorant to the real world and think peace is such an easy concept for all of the nations to achieve if everyone just did nothing and simply throw away all of their religious beliefs; highly impractical. So for any of the said extremists and excessive complainers who have read this much of the article, I have just one last remark to enounce, Suck It Up or Shut It Up.
