Dubai Port Buy; Bring The World Closer Together, No Don't

Is the United States sending the wrong message to the World as we call into question the UAE Dubai Companies bid for some port operations in six of the United States shipping ports? Isn't the UAE a friend of the United States and has assisted us not only in the war in Iraq, but also assisted in the War on Terror, negotiation with fundamentalist factions and havent they been a good over all supporter of the United States?

We need to stop this knee jerk reaction to the sound and fury of mass media and Democratic political power grab. The ports and shipping is an international business and that is the way it is run. We have US companies, which own operations all over the world very similar. UAE is a pro-US trading partner.

You cannot tell the world you want fair and free trade and to buy US Products and then shut them out. We want our US Products moving that way to help bring monetary flows back the US for all the oil we buy. It is silly to listen to the ignorance on this issue really. This is how things work in the world, it is how we ship and receive things.

Why are we so quick to allow the media to blow a story out of proportion and insight the masses with fear, when in the end all that will happen is the undoing of years of hard work in bringing our world closer together in a common cause. The Middle East is not going away, nor are the problems, we need to work thru these issues together not start pointing fingers at our friends and allies in the War on Terror. Consider this in 2006.
