Details of the Chase Platinum Visa Application

The Chase Platinum Visa is for those cardholders who have very good credit and want a platinum card that offers a good rewards program. The rewards program with the Chase Platinum Visa allows cardholders to earn one point for every dollar they spend on purchases. The points may then be redeemed for cash back, merchandise, travel, or gift cards. The points expire in five years, and cardholders are limited to earning 60,000 annually.

The card has no annual fee and has an introductory rate of 0% for purchases and balance transfers for the first twelve months for those who qualify. After the introductory period, the rate on purchase is a variable rte of 13.99% on purchases and 23.99% on cash advances based on the applicant's credit history. In addition, there is a cash advance fee of 3% with a minimum of $10 and a balance transfer fee of 3% with a minimum of $5 and maximum of $75.

Since this card bases finance charges on a two cycle average daily balance, those who carry a large balance on a regular basis may find this card quite expensive compared to those that that calculate finance charges on the average daily balance method. This card is ideal, however, for those who have a good credit history, want to make use of the rewards program, and plan to take advantage of the many other services and benefits that are offered with the Chase Platinum Visa.

Some of the benefits that can be derived from the use of the Chase Platinum Visa include the following:

? Online access to account information

? No liability to cardholder for unauthorized transactions

? Reporting of lost and stolen cards

? Emergency replacement of cash and cards

? Emergency assistance and travel related services

? Travel accident insurance up to $500,000

? Extended warranty for purchases made with the card

? Insurance for car rental

? Year end financial statement if requested
