Simple Baby Shower Menu

Creating a menu for a baby shower can seem like an overwhelming task. Especially if you are not a great cook, dont host a lot of parties, or just have no idea what your guests will like. Dont worry help is here; below I have put together a very quick and simple baby shower menu that anyone can put together.

This menu is good for an afternoon party. It is comprised manly of finger foods and includes dessert and punch.

It is best to have your foods set out buffet style and allow your guests to serve themselves. This also makes it easier for you because you can focus on your guests instead of the food.

Main Dishes:

Mini sandwiches set out a platter of cold cuts and cheeses and a basket of silver dollar rolls. Also set out a dish of mustard and mayonnaise. Allow your guests to assemble their own sandwiches, which mean less work for you!

Crudities crudities is simply a fancy word for raw veggies. Put out mini carrots, celery sticks, broccoli and cauliflower florets and cucumber slices. You can cut the veggies yourself, or buy them pre-cut. This is where you can let your creativity shine through. Serve with pre-made veggie dip for a healthy side dish.

Fruit Platter this is where you can add a real variety of color to your table. Serve any combination of precut melons, orange slices and strawberries. Serve plain, or with a pre-made cream cheese fruit dip.

Spinach Dip buy pre-made spinach dip from the freezer section of your grocery store. Heat and serve with crusty French bread, crackers, or tortilla chips.

Mini Quiche buy frozen mini quiche from your grocery store, heat and serve.

Dessert:

Sheet cake buy a sheet cake from your local bakery. Have it decorated with a message and flowers in the color scheme of your party.

Mini Cookies buy store bought mini cookies and serve on a platter next to your cake.

Mints and Nuts set out bowls of after dinner mints and nuts to go with your cake.

Punch:

Easy fruit punch set a half gallon of softened fruit sorbet in a punch bowl. Pour two, two-liter bottle of lemon-lime soda over sorbet and serve.
