I'm no doctor! Just a normal guy. At one time I was apart of the 15 million club, that's the amount of Americans that suffer daily attacks of heartburn. Let's not forget to mention the 60 million Americans that report being a victim of heartburn at least once a month. The sad thing is that the average person like you and me ignores the pain. Well it got to the point where I said, "Enough is enough" and decided to take action.
Of course like so many people would, I went to my family doctor. After a few checkups I was told to try some over the counter medicine before I was prescribed anything. Of course I've already tried over the counter medicine for heartburn relief, come on who hasn't? So I talked my doctor in to prescribing something a little stronger.
That landed me with a prescription for Nexium, I'm sure you've heard of it, you know, the once a day purple pill. Well anyway, at first the pill was great, it actually worked I was free from the pain for the first time in a long while. Then came the terror, like most prescription drugs they come with this long list of nasty side effects and not only did they hit me, they hit me hard. It felt as if I traded the dynamite for the C4. Heartburn was gone, but in comes abdominal pain and constipation. Not much of a trade off if you ask me, so I went back on the prowl for heartburn treatment that works, and where better than the Internet.
During my search I got to thinking rather I should be looking for a better prescription medicine or an alternative option. I came to the conclusion that prescription medicine isn't really a cure just temporary relief. At that point I decided that I want a cure, I want to eat what I want and not worry about the pain of heartburn. What I didn't want was another expense, and I didn't want to be dependent on prescription drugs for the rest of my life.
Through countless hours searching on google and threading through the nonsense on good treatment options. I came across a very informative site offering a bunch of FREE information and a book that covered everything I needed to know. From what causes heartburn to how to treat it. The link to the site is located at the very end of the article and I hope you check it out.
In conclusion, I'd just like that say that I genuinely wrote this article for people like you to benefit from. Hopefully reading this saves you time, money, and lots of pain. It's nothing like eating what you desire without having to worry about if you'll pay later. I wish you a healthy, prosperous year for you and yours. |
